IBM publish their own books for use with their products.  The IBM Cognos 10 Redbook is available here.

The Cognos 10 Red book is a great resource for anyone using Cognos 10 and is headlined with:

  • Understand core features of IBM Cognos BI V10.1
  • Realize the full potential of IBM Cognos BI
  • Learn by example with practical scenarios
This is a 549 page guide, so is probably the best tecnical resource you can get for getting the most out of Cognos10 BI.  It covers everything from an introduction to Cognos 10 BI, to metadata modelling with Framework Manager, to reporting with Report Studio adn Business Insight Advanced, dashboards with Business Insight, Collaboration around reports and analyses, Active Reports, Dynamic Query, System Administration and finally integration with TM1, Cognos Planning and Cognos Controller.

Save it, print it, keep it on your iPad.
