Cognos Express is a modular environment. There are three modules to CX:
- Reporter - for self service reporting and ad-hoc querying
- Advisor - for freeform analysis and visualisation
- Xcelerator - for excel based planning and business analysis
There is also a mandatory Administration module that allows you to configure the modules above.

Total purchase price can be calculated by taking the module required plus the number of users times the per user price plus the core Administration module.

Therefore, for example if you required 10 Reporter and 3 Advisor licenses, then the total would be:

These prices exclude GST and include the first year of Support and Maintenance from IBM. They are in Australian dollars and can change without notice.
