IBM Cognos 8 BI delivers the complete range of Business Intelligence capabilities on a single service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Using it, you can provide the capabilities and information you need to make better decisions. Use reports, analysis, dashboards and scorecards to monitor business performance, analyse trends and measure results. A service-oriented architecture makes it easy to deploy and manage.

IBM allows you to download at no charge a 180 day trial version of Cognos 8.  It can be installed directly on a 32 bit Windows computer, for example a Windows XP laptop or Vista desktop computer.

Cognos 8is made up of the following modules to address the BI and planning needs of midsize companies:

• IBM Cognos 8 Reporting
• IBM Cognos 8 Analysis
• IBM Cognos 8 Dashboarding
• IBM Cognos 8 Scorecards
